Residency and Fellowship Program Update

As the Dermatology Residency Program enters its 11th year, we are pleased to announce that all of our June 2023 graduates are now board-certified dermatologists. The program thus continues to enjoy a 100% board pass rate. Our resident compliment was recently increased to 15 on a permanent basis and we are looking forward to the upcoming academic year's adventures in learning and teaching.

We recently held our annual graduation ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of our residency and fellowship programs. We are pleased to announce the following graduates – please join us in congratulating them on their success and hard work!

• Alex Jenkins, MD – Dermatology Residency Graduate
  Alex returned to her home state of Texas to work in a private practice in Tyler to be near family.
• Sarah McClees, MD - Dermatology Residency Graduate
  Sarah joined the dermatology faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as an Assistant Professor.
• Josh Ortego, MD – Dermatology Residency Graduate
  Josh returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, joining Dr. Angela Wingfield at The Dermatology Clinic.
• Molly Webb, MD - Dermatology Residency Graduate
  Molly, we are happy to say, remained in Jackson, MS, and joined the dermatology faculty of UMMC as an Assistant Professor.
• Caitlin “Alex” Noble, MD – Dermatopathology Fellowship Graduate
  We are also glad Alex remained in Jackson, MS, where she has joined the dermatology faculty of both the UMMC and the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she serves as a dermatologist and dermatopathologist.
• Luke Wallis, MD – Mohs Fellowship Graduate
  Luke returned to Longview, TX joining Wallis Dermatology Associates as a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon.
